ABORIGINAL COURT WORKERS PROGRAM client SURVEY

  • The objective of the client survey is to obtain client satisfaction information from ACW program clients in Manitoba. The results of the survey will be incorporated into the Summative Evaluation.

ABORIGINAL Headstart on reserve

  • Produced a Toolkit for AHSOR Outreach Project sites to use when visiting homes on reserve to assist pre-schoolers.
  • Managed and coordinated a series of training workshops for 36 AHSOR Project Coordinators in Manitoba.
  • Prepared the 2006 AHSOR Roll up Report for the Manitoba Region.

RED RIVER COMMUNITY COLLEGE

  • Prepared a feasibility study to implement a sweat lodge facility at RRC school grounds.

 

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES ASSOCIATION OF MANITOBA

  • Conducted a study into the Opportunities for Increasing Integration of Aboriginal Workers in Manitoba's ICT Sector

CANADA MORTAGE AND HOUSING CORPORATION

  • Adapting Capital Replacement Planning training manuals for use by First Naitions Housing Providers

EKOS RESEARCH ASSOCIATIES INC.

  • Contracted to assist with implementation of a National Urban Aboriginal Research Study involving surveying urban Aboriginal people across Canada and range of public policy issues

INDIAN RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLS RESOLUTION CANADA

  • Delivery of Form Filler Services in the Atlantic, Quebec and Manitoba regions

  • Design and development of a website for the Aboriginal self-government program

SOUTHEAST RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

  • Delivey of a 2-day strategic planning session for the Southeast Community Futures Corporation

MANITOBA KEEWATINOWI OKIMAKANAK

  • Provided consulting services to assist with sucessful negotiations ofa $64 million Aboriginal Human Resources Development Agreement (AHRDA) with Human Resources & Skills Development Canada for northern Manitoba First Nations communities
  • Developed annual and multi-year training plans to secure $10 million for the Wuskawatin and Keeyask Hydro electric development projects in northern Manitoba
  • Developed an implementation plan for the MKO-AHRDA

WUSKWATIM & KEEYASK TRAINING CONSORTIUM INC.

  • Provided consulting services to develop a communications strategy and annual report for the WKTC is the coordinating and administrative body for Manitoba's Hydro Northern Training Initiative

KEEWATIN TRIBAL COUNCIL

  • Coordination and management of an early strategic planning project related to the  East Side Lake Winnipeg Broad Area Planning Initiative that involved 15 First Nations communities located on the east side of Lake Winnipeg Region

SOUTHERN EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING INC.

  • Development and implementation of an Aboriginal Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Initiative for this training and employment administrative body for 36 First Nations in Southern Manitoba
  • Creation of a partnership agreement to recruit Aboriginal candidates for entry in the Canadian Armed Forces with Canadian Forces Recruitment Centre for the Manitoba First Nations Recruitment Initiative
  • Management of the Manitoba First Nations Human Resources Development Strategy

SAGKEENG FIRST NATION

  • Development and delivery of a Sagkeeng First Nation Youth Entrepreneurial  Initiative

SAPOTAWEYAK CREE NATION

  • Establishment of the Sapotaweyak Cree Nation Carpentry Trades Qualifications Preparation Course
